Joe Gilhooley Photography Sunrise Meloneras Gran Canaria Thursday 11th June 2015 - Another holiday week in Meloneras Cran Canaria. I again wanted to catch a sunrise on the Meloneras beach (after my October 2014 success). I knew sun would be more to north east for sunrise against where it was during October 2014 visit, more towards the east. I ended up having to walk along beach for about one hour in darkness to get angle where sun would rise over the sea, not over land. I maybe walked 2 to 3 miles before coast bent. A hard walk. They are all on page in order taken from the Thursday morning sunrise. I was lucky that tide gave me reflections in pools as waves slowly came. I had to time shutter for moments of best reflections. Got a few. I was there one hour before sunrise to capture those wonderful moments pre dawn. Then the 3 mile walk back along beach to resort. Blisters !!!
