I climbed Salisbury Crags at Arthur Seat to get a good vantage point. My plan was to photograph the Edinburgh Tattoo performance as light show on castle wall changes. I then to stayed on for the fireworks -see Tattoo Fireworks album. Whilst waiting and after the tattoo ended, I took views of Edinburgh from my vantage point.
