Joe Gilhooley LRPS   European Badgers Reflections   Tuesday 21st March 2023 - I spent about 8 hours in Ron McCombe's terrific wildlife hide in Scottish Borders. Ron has set it up to bring European Badgers to the area. Takes patience as badgers can come at any time. Their sense of hearing is acute so you have to keep very still and quiet. Well worth contacting Ron McCombe and booking a slot. Or in his wildbirds hide. Both hides are heated and Ron gives very useful photography assistance. Badgers came to the area , about 20 metres from me, a number times during the nearly eight hours. Ron has a reflection pool right in front of the photography hide. Badgers are showing an interest in it. I caught a few super photographs with badger's reflection in the water. For this visit. I used my Canon 1dx MkII Camera.
