Thursday 30th June 2022. Another visit to Ron McCombe's wild bird hide in Scottish Borders. Wonderful set up. Spent nearly four hours photographing a variety of birds. Here are a selection I rather liked. Well worth contacting Ron to book a slot in bird hide.
I used my Canon 1dx MkII Camera with Canon EF 400mm f2.8L IS III USM Lens. With a Canon 1.4 Mk III extender (Converter) attached. Giving focal length of 560mm.
I took over 500 photos. 23 are now on this page. Please take time browsing through them.
I photographed Chaffinches, Robins, Sparrows, a Wren, Starlings, a Crow, Goldfinches, Siskins, Coal Tits, Nuthatches, Great Spotted Woodpeckers (including a juvenile) , Thrushes, Great Tits, Redpoll and Blue Tits.
A few of the birds were this summer's young.
A squirrel made an apperance. The Jay was about but it is timid and did not come in to feed today.
