Joe Gilhooley LRPS   Rebutia Muscula Cactus Plant   Saturday 4th June 2022 . Another chance to photograph my Cactus plant. About 20 years ago I grew this Rebutia Muscula Cactus Plant from a seed. It flowers every spring into summer with beautiful small orange flowers. I am really pleased with it this year. I repotted it last year as it is growing wider. It sits in our conservatory on a window ledge. I feed it once a month with water and a supplement cactus plant food. There are now 12 orange flowers out and many more flower buds appearing, The plant pot is 25cm / 10 inches in diameter. The open flower in under one inch / 2.5 cm diameter. I currently have about 12 new cacti plants growing from seeds. They are tiny just now and I don't yet know that species of cacti they will be. I hope for flowering cacti. I photographed this Rebutia Muscula Cactus Plant in natural light. Using my new Canon EF 100mm f2.8L Macro IS USM Lens. Absolutely delighted with the quality of images the new lens gives. Being a macro lens I can move it to within cm/inches of the cactus. Here are 14 images. As from the camera.
