Eilean Donan Castle - Nighttime Photography |
|
Saturday 14th August 2021. Eilean Donan Castle is found at the meeting points of three sea lochs on the west coast of Scotland. It must be one of the most photographed castles in Scotland.
Timing is everything when photographing Eilean Donan Castle. You need to time visit at high tide. Otherwise image is so different with tide out. Little wind helps for reflections.
I timed this visit for a sunset vist and a high tide about two hours later. I wanted the lights on the castle. Got them.
I also visited 12 hours earlier for daytime photography with castle reflections. |
