Tuesday 7th March 2023. The Falkirk Wheel. Lit after sunset. The rotating boat lift that connects the Union Canal with the Forth & Clyde. The world's only rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel links the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal 35 metres above.
The weather forecast was for little wind. I got there for 5pm . Sunset was 6.01pm.
I took a number of photographs. At times the reflections of The Falkirk Wheel in the canal basin was just perfect. Then little ripples would appear for a minute or so.
I stayed on for the blue hour and the lights coming on the Wheel. That was stunning.
