Friday21st July 2023. Hibernian v Groningen, pre season friendly. Hibernian won 2-1.
I was given pitchside photography accrediatation by Hibernian FC for this match.
It was a wonderful experience being so close taking photos at such a high profiled match.
I was taking photos for the Hibernian Supporters Match Programme Editor. He wanted a bank of photographs to use in a few editions of the Match Programme.
Just at kick off, heavy rain came on. I hid in the stand behind the goal that was not being used for supporters. Taking photos from a distance and a bit higher up. Thankfully by the second half, the rain had gone off.
Here are 36 match photos I took during the match. I gave 148 to the Programme Editor. I used two cameras.
I hope to repeat the experience.
