Montagu Bridge Dalkeith Country Park |
|
Tuesday 11th January 2022 Montagu Bridge Dalkeith Country Park by Robert Adams, was commissioned by Henry, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch in 1792.
I watched the weather forecast for a clear sunny day. Got it !!!
I had intended to stay on. Waiting for the sun to move and catch the entire bridge. The wind came up and by then the reflections in the River North Esk had gone.
I had planned also to wade into the River North Esk to look up the river through the bridge. However, the path is fenced off for regeneration of Oak Trees. I think Dalkeith Country Park lost a number of trees in a late 2021 storm.
See also my images of Dalkeith Palace on same morning.
