Joe Gilhooley Photography Great spotted woodpecker in our garden Saturday 3rd February 2018. The female Great spotted woodpecker is becoming a regular visitor to our back garden. I have been baiting a tree log on a plinth and she seemed to be interested in that . Today she arrived and remained static on the tree trunk for about 20 minutes. Possibly resting (?) . She had her back to our kitchen window . I managed to open the window and get a few images with a long lens before she flew off.
