Friday 17th March 2023. The Falkirk Wheel. Lit after sunset. The rotating boat lift that connects the Union Canal with the Forth & Clyde. The world's only rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel links the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal 35 metres above.
The weather forecast was for little wind. I got there for 6pm . Sunset was 6.26pm.
I took a number of photographs. At times the reflections of The Falkirk Wheel in the canal basin was just perfect. The best I have witnessed.
These images are before the lights came on The Falkirk Wheel.
As a bonus there was green in the lights on The Falkirk Wheel for St Patrick's Day. I had hoped for that.
