Joe Gilhooley LRPS   The Falkirk Wheel Lit for St Patrick's Day   Friday 17th March 2023. The Falkirk Wheel. Lit after sunset. The rotating boat lift that connects the Union Canal with the Forth & Clyde. The world's only rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel links the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal 35 metres above. The weather forecast was for little wind. I got there for 6pm . Sunset was 6.26pm. I took a number of photographs. At times the reflections of The Falkirk Wheel in the canal basin was just perfect. The best I have witnessed. As a bonus there was green in the lights on The Falkirk Wheel for St Patrick's Day. I had hoped for that.
